Elizabeth’s recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs (beaten slightly)
  • 1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method:

  1. Set oven to 350 deg., and grease an 8 or 9 in. cake pan.
  2. Over low heat, melt butter + chocolate
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar
  4. Add eggs and vanilla
  5. Add the flour
  6. Mix all together
  7. Spread into the pan
  8. Bake for 20 min. (max) Don’t overbake.
  9. The centre should be a little bit soft, for best results.

Topping:

  • Sprinkle chocolate chips or chocolate mint chips onto hot brownie. Spread after they have melted a little.

OR

  • Cover hot brownie with mini marshmallows and then ice with chocolate icing (or chocolate mint icing) when cool.

OR

  • Let cool and dust with icing sugar

  • Spread with icing
