– This recipe will serve a crowd
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 28 ox can tomatoes
  • 2 c water
  • 3 cans consumme
  • 3 bouillon cubes
  • 5 c water
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 4 sliced carrots
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 stalks celery
  • parsley and thyme
  • 8 T barley

 

Directions:

  1. Brown beef and onion. 
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
  3. Simmer, covered, for at least 2 hours.
